                 Win42 and Dominoes for Windows

This README file contains info you'll need to get these games properly
installed and running.

The archive (zip file) that you probably recieved contains all the files
you need except one: VBRUN300.DLL is a file which you are likely to
already have in your \windows\system directory. If you don't have it,
then download it and place it in that directory.

The collection of files in the archive has several files you will need,
but there is one file here which needs to be placed in another directory.
The file CTL3DV2.DLL must go in your \windows\system directory, and must
not be in the same directory as the rest of these files.

The included program INSTALL.EXE will do this for you. In addition, it
will ask you what directory to place the files, create that directory if
it doesn't already exist, copy the files there, and then place icons in
your Windows Program Manager to start the games.

If you're having trouble, start Windows' File Manager and open the
directory where you placed the game files. Check to make sure these
files are there:

WIN42.EXE The executable file for Win42.
DOMINOES.EXE The executable file for Dominoes for Windows.
*.WAV Several files with the .WAV extension are sounds that are
made at various places in the games.
*.BMP Several files with the .BMP extension are bitmap images
that can be placed on the domino backs in Win42.
THREED.VBX This is a library file which the games use. Although this
file could be placed in your \windows\system directory,
there are some minor compatibility problems with
different versions, so keep this one in the same
                 directory.
INSTALL.EXE This program will help in copying the files to the right
places, and will put icons in Program Manager to start
                 the games.

Also, the file CTL3DV2.DLL should NOT be in this directory, but should be
in the \windows\system directory.

If you have trouble, you can e-mail me at the address FREEWHL44@aol.com ,
and I'll try to help.

The game is steadily being improved upon, so if the version that you have
is more than a few months old, you can get the latest version from my
web page at the address

have fun!
